Ada Lea is a Canadian singer/songwriter based in Montreal. Ada Lea has been working on her own music while simultaneously participating in a number of local Montreal initiatives. Lea is a multi-talented artist that excels in both music and artistic mediums. Her 2019 first album, What We Say in Private, was mostly inspired by her 180-day painting binge after a devastating breakup, during which she reflected on and documented her emotions in a notebook.

After the release of U.S. independent label Saddle Creek’s What We Say in Private and subsequent tour in its support, Lea swiftly followed up in 2020 with her Woman, Here EP, recorded with producer/engineer Marshall Vore, who had previously worked with Phoebe Bridgers. While staying at an artists’ residence in Banff, Alberta, Lea composed and recorded demos of songs for her next studio album. Her second album was released in September 2021, and it included a collaboration with producer Vore.
