Yu Su’s creative punches are best defined as naturally groovy jazz-bient journeys between the coasts, drawing from a wide range of influences including fourth world ambiance and out-of-left-field dance music. She is a skilled instrumentalist who creates moments of natural and synthetic beauty, and her dub-inflected hallmark strikes a nice balance between bright and melancholy downtempo sounds. She has produced albums for People’s Potential Unlimited (2017) in Washington, DC, Wichelroede (2017) in The Hague, RVNG Intl. & Arcane (2018) in New York City, and Second Circle/Music From Memory (2017) in Amsterdam (2019). She also performs alongside Scott Johnson Gailey as part of the duet You’re Me.
