Sun Glitters is a Luxembourg-based sound researcher who has been working under the moniker Sug(r)cane since 1998. Sun Glitters’ sound is a sea of lush melodies, pitch-shifted vocal samples, ghostly digi-diva choirs, and warm bass melodies propelled by alternately dense and relaxing beatwork combinations of downtempo and wonky beats.
Victor Ferreira (aka Sun Glitters), a Venezuelan-born and Luxembourg-based music producer, has earned a loyal following through consistent output, collaboration, worldwide tours, and festival appearances since arriving in 2011 at the crest of an era overflowing with blissful synth projects. Ferreira has quickly made a name for himself in the electronic music scene, with remixes for Purity Ring, Slow Magic, Blue Foundation, and others, as well as live support for Moderat, Son Lux, and Gold Panda. He has received glowing coverage from Dazed & Confused, BBC, Resident Advisor, Earmilk, XLR8R, Pitchfork, The Guardian, and a slew of other trendsetting music outlets over the years.
Ferreira followed up his debut with a string of releases that included collaborations with Steffaloo and Slow Magic, a single on Lefse Records, and a collection of Everything Could Be Fine remixes. Scattered into Light, Sun Glitters’ Mush Records debut featuring Diverting Duo vocalist Sara Cappai, was released in 2014.

Ferreira can be found recasting retro-futurism under the ominous cloud of today’s digital age and channeling the neon-noir of the 1980s (à la Drive OST and video games of his youth). His audio/visual projects push the creative boundaries and easily merge the roles of a music producer, video director, and graphic design artist, with output that includes music releases, experimental films, and graphic works.
