Actress Jeanne Werner is from Luxembourg and now resides in Vienna. She works in both theater and movies. At the Zurich University of Arts, she studied acting (ZhDK). Her most recent acting performances include a significant supporting part opposite Vicky Krieps in Marie Kreutzer’s “Corsage.” It was Austria’s entry for the 2023 Academy Awards and had its world debut in the “Un certain regard” section of the Cannes Film Festival in 2022. She also had the main part in David Oesch’s short “Cru,” which had its world debut at the 2019 HollyShorts Film Festival and received the “Student Visionary Award” at the 2020 Tribeca Film Festival.
She often performs in German, French, and English in theater productions in Switzerland, Germany, Austria, and Luxembourg. Alongside Emma Watson and Daniel Brühl, she had her first significant part in the 2015 feature film “The Colony,” which was directed by Florian Gallenberger. After that, she had a pivotal supporting part in Sam Garbarski’s 2016 Berlinale debut of “Bye Bye Germany.” She also portrayed the female protagonist in “Mär – A German Tale” by Katharina Mihm (2019).
