The chamber music that composer and pianist Marcel Reuter has dedicated his career to is a reflection of his view of music as a personal means of expression.
Performance
Some of the world’s most prestigious music festivals, including the Salzburger Festspiele, Wien modern, Aspekte Salzburg, Klangspuren Schwaz, Gaudeamus, Ars musica, and the Berlin Konzerthaus and Deutsche Oper, as well as the concert halls and opera houses in Buenos Aires, Hong Kong, London, Montreal, New York, Rome, and Tokyo, have all featured his compositions.
Recognitions
They have received commissions from the likes of the Luxembourg Philharmonie, the Vienna Konzerthaus, the Netherlands Vocal Laboratorium, Lucilin, the Quartet New Generation, and KMVL.
Job Career
The University of Music in Vienna (where he taught from 2002–2007) and the Conservatoire du Nord in Luxembourg are two of Marcel Reuter’s previous teaching gigs (since 2007). In addition to teaching at Musikhochschule Freiburg and Music Academy Sarajevo, he has also taught at other prestigious institutions.
